What is intimacy coordination?
An intimacy coordinator is a specialist who advocates for actors and acts as a liaison with the production team during scenes involving nudity, simulated sex, intimate physical contact and hyper exposure.
They ensure safer, supportive and consent-based environments for everyone involved, safeguarding both the artistic integrity and the well-being of the performers.
Key pillars of the practice:
- consent & boundaries: clear agreement on professional boundaries prior to rehearsals.
- choreography: transforming vulnerable moments into repeatable, precise physical actions.
- communication: facilitating transparent dialogue between the director, crew and cast.
For whom?
Are you an artist, performer, creator, choreographer, or director in the performing arts currently working on a production involving intimacy, nudity, sexuality, or explicit content? Technicians, make-up artists, and costume designers are also very welcome.
You can register with a maximum of 4 participants per project; we aim to select 4 to 5 different productions.

- choreografie: kwetsbare momenten omzetten in herhaalbare, precieze fysieke acties.
