The Artist team is responsible for the A-Z booking of artists.
Due to growth, we are looking for a social and knowledgeable colleague to support our team of bookers.
This is a remarkable opportunity to play an important part in the production and delivery of Tomorrowland, and to creatively contribute to on of the world’s largest music festivals.
Based in Central Antwerp, you will be part of a fast growing team that manages the entire line-up of several events.
All candidates should have exceptional organisational and communication skills, a good knowledge of the music industry along with an understanding of current trends in social media and marketing. As a talent booker for Tomorrowland, you’ll be playing a key role in supporting the booking team in booking and advancing all events. Booking will predominantly focus on electronic music in particular but you’ll need good knowledge across the industry too.
You will have a solid understanding of the youth demographic (nationale/international), their listening habits, how they respond to different genres, and ultimately what artists will sell. You should understand the big draws alongside having your finger firmly on the pulse for those up-and-coming artists.
You will have experience with agents and agencies; you should have pre-existing, trusted relationships and understand the details of how agencies work and the nuanced processes involved.
You will work closely with other members of the events team to bring the programme to life. The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrable experience working within a fast-paced event booking role for a nightclub, music festival or similar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching and booking electronic music talent for Tomorrowland across the world.
- Responding to talent booking briefs & coming up with short lists of on brief & on budget talent.
- Responsible for outreach, relationship management, contracting, internal paperwork and the start of advancing talent.
- Responsible for maintaining Tomorrowland CRM and project management software in relation to talent booking and the events they’re booked for.
- Organizing all logistics regarding a booking and follow-up of advancing around and during the event/festival
profiel kandidaat
- At least 2-4 years experience in a similar talent booking role.
- Experience within the events/nightlife/festival industry, preferably for venue or event brand booking predominantly electronic artists.
- A solid understanding of Gen Z.
- Strong instincts on culture and music trends within the youth market.
- Finger on the pulse for music and popular culture.
- Strong existing industry contacts across the talent booking scene with extensive talent booking experience.
- Experienced using Monday, Smartsheet, Teams, Beatswitch is desirable but not essential.
- You have strong communication skills and are socially skilled
- You have an eye for detail and quality
- You are very organized, and you are not afraid to think out of the box
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch and English
- You have a sense of responsibility and can work independently
- You are discreet, loyal and diplomatic
- Stress resistance is an absolute requirement. You are willing to shift up a gear in the run-up to the festival and can hold several signs in the air. Deadlines don't scare you - for a few months a year this is anything, but a 9-to-5 job.
